This has got to be really an inexpensive printer. For the price you can’t expect much about the quality. But the cartridges are a bit expensive, but if you run a business, it might not be a problem spending a few bucks on cartridges. Overall, a good review.

The printer seems to be OK but the cartridges are a bit expensive. And is the gel type cartridge better than plain ink ones? What’s the difference in using gel cartridges rather than ink ones? Anyway, that was a good review. Thanks for the share.

Well when the speed is not that fast then the existing brands and even cartridges are not that cheap, so I don’t see any point that people will buy it.

As far as I am concerned I won’t buy it for sure.

Great review as always, very in-depth. Not sure a jack-of-all-trades printer is up to the tasks I would demand of it so I’ll probably give this a miss.

A major headache with inkjet printers in an office context is that ink cartridges seem to run out far too often and there are never replacements to hand when you need them.
Maybe time has come for more choices than lasers and inkjets for colour printing. Ricoh has just launched some new competition, in the semi-liquid consistency of gel printing and i think has a chance to succeed.

Interesting…the gel thing is new to me, I only know inkjets and laser printers. I look forward to a day when we can have inexpensive laser printers. They’ve come down in price a lot and hopefully one day soon they will be an economical choice for the home office. I wonder how much the gel packs cost, since the refills are what get you with inkjets.

I never heard of a gel printing system as used by the Ricoh Aficio GX3050N GelSprinter Color Network Printer - is this is very new technology? Honestly I hardly ever use my printer these days- everythign is electronic- even my invoices!
