Thanks for the heads up about the surly employees. That is too bad. Friendly employees is supposed to be what makes places like this so memorable. If you want to be cranky, don’t work in customer service, especially somewhere meant to be fun.

Good on you for winning the most relaxed competition! Wonderworks sounds like a really cool place to visit, and it will definitely be one of my stops on the big journey through the USA that I’m planning to embark on in the future. It is going to be an epic road trip, and once I’ve got all the crosses on my map, connecting them in the most efficient way sure is going to be fun!

This is an amazing review, however I have never been to any of the places like these ever, but now I am very much curious about getting there.

This sounds similar to Science World here in Vancouver. I like the concept of the upside down building. I’ll have to check this out if I ever end up in Tennessee. Then again, I’m pretty sure that I probably won’t be down there.

Customer service skills are a must if you’re dealing with families.. it’s necessary for the staff to keep the stress levels of their guests to a minimum and makes the whole experience a lot more enjoyable. The Earthquake Simulator sounds a lot of fun.. I’d enjoy that. The bed of REAL nails doesn’t sound so fun to be honest, but I guess it could be mind over matter and you would be able to say that you’d done it

Hi Mary,

The space shuttle simulators can be found at a number of science and space museums. I had previously tried one out at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center and Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama.

If I ever get to the intriguingly named Pigeon Forge I will check out Wonderworks - it sounds cool -I’ve done earthquake simulators before (and been in the real thing) - but never a space shuttle simulator - that would be cool!
