I love my i1035. This camera was a gift to me to use as a "purse" camera, you know those times when you wish you had your camera with you shots. It isn't a DSLR and wasn't for that purpose, I have film and digital SLR's. The camera has a few issues and the menu can be cumbersome. For my intended use, it is perfect.

i had a Kodak before this polaroid, and let me tell you i am missing my kodak.

the zoom is horrible, even with my tripod i get a grainy blob of images, and i was disappointed after reviewing pictures from my friends graduation. it is also very slow, the flash takes almost 30 seconds to charge on my camera, and i missed alot of photo opportunities.

it drains my batteries very fast, i could go 3 months with my kodak, with regular double A batteries, and it would be fine. with this camera, the most i've gone is a day and a half.

the macro is horrible as well! i love doing close up objects, i take pictures of flowers alot and love getting that close up detail. with my Kodak, it wasnt a problem. the macro on this polaroid doesnt even start focusing until im more than 5 feet away, and then it focuses on the wrong thing. never what i want to get. and even when it says it focuses on something, i look at my pictures and they arent in focus. i try it on diferent settings, with my tripod, everything and this camera wont work for me.

and another problem im having is with my SD card, which REALLY makes me mad. i bought a new SD card, EXACTLY like my other one, and when i went to put it in today, my camera wont even turn on. now, it works fine if i take the memory card out, but if its in, i press the power button, and all i get is a white screen, then nothing.

i deeply regret paying $99.99 for this camera, i got it from walgreens on sale after my reliable kodak broke.. =[ i am saving up to ix my kodak, and once i have it back, NEVER will i go back to a polaroid again.

I bought one for use in my CHL classes (the applications require passport-type photos), and so far, I have not been terribly happy with it. The primary reason I chose this camera was the placement of the flash, which does not leave a shadow on one side (a problem for passport photos).

I found the setups to be way too confusing and cumbersome. Also, if you change the batteries (this camera eats batteries big-time, so I went with rechargeable NiMH AAs) it loses all of the settings, so you have to start over if you are trying to do anything out of the ordinary.

For starters, it would not transfer to my laptop directly. Plan B was to use my SDcard reader, which worked fine. But the color balance was too far off for me to handle with GIMP, so I ended up with Plan C, my lower-resolution Canon, which is adequate, but has a screen that is way too small for my old, tired eyes. At least I have a monopod, which helps a lot for indoor portrait work.

So it looks like the camera might be marginally useful, but only after I do a lot more experimentation and memorize a complex setup. Would be nice if I could "lock in" the setup that I end up using, but that does not appear possible.

I guess I'm willing to put up with this camera, since I got it for $79, but I think that I will eventually get a higher-end camera. Although that seems a bit of excessive unnecessariness for something I use for exactly one purpose twice a month.

I totally agree with you. I think the Casio Exlim is worth saving up an extra $50 or so. Pentax’s are kind of hit and miss since there are so many different models, good and bad, out on the closeout market right now.

Hi!

Well, a friend of mine had the same issue but it turned out it was the SD Card which was defective. Also, verify that it's the type and size supported.

I got my camera around a month ago and I'm quite satisfied with it. I solved the battery issue by acquiring a charger with batteries included.

I know Canon and specially Nikon are far way better cameras, but for less than 70 bucks it's not that bad...

I just bought the i1035 earlier today (to replace a 2.1Mp CyberPix S-550V)and for the price I couldn't go wrong. Just wondering if I got a newer version because the internal memory in mine is 32mb, not 16mb as quoted in the review. Yes, being able to do more than switch from taking photos to viewing to recording video is easy enough (just 1 button switches between them).
I also like the fact that the camera will automaticaly change to the best possible mode for any particular shot (out of over 25 different modes).
When I bought it there was a measely 14 day warranty attached, but my wife is using it tonight so she can tell me if it's a keeper or should I return it for refund.

Polaroid cameras really have dropped off a bit. One of those companies that were on the top of their game and industry for a time but fell off the horse and was taken by the it's competitors.
