It seems that Kodak takes beating in some reviews, but we like it, including the Kodak Easyshare 8.1MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Zoom. Pics are great quality!

These prices are very low as I remember one of my friend has bought the same camera with about 35% extra amount. Its nice to see such low prices for these great cameras.

It is crazy how far cameras have advanced. I’m still parcial to Canon cameras, especially when it comes to the mid-range and higher range cameras. But all in all, this was a real solid review!

I have to say I like Kodak. I have an older 6.0 that has done me well. My next will most likely be a Kodak also. This may be one I’ll look at. If something new and better doesn’t come out first.

It seems every brand is making these kind of bridge cameras. I recently bought an Olympus with similar characteristics. Of course you can’t expect the same quality as DSLR, but at least it gives you a more room for creativity with all the custom options. If you care for manual controls then it’s a good choice. However, for if you just want to point and shoot, these cameras won’t bring better results than the smaller ones.

12X Optical zoom, 8 MP. Is anyone else shocked at how fast cameras advance? These are like the new computer processors, doubling in specs every 2 years.

It looks like Kodak Easyshare 8.1MP Digital Camera would be very good for tavelling - the 12X zoom is important for travel phtotography and I like a camera which takes AA batteries -available everywhere - I generally use rechargeables but you can always buy more AA if your Kodak Easyshare 8.1MP Digital Camera goes flat at a crtical moment- say at the Obama inauguration!

Yea, a 12X optical zoom is amazing. The only thing you have to worry about is keeping a steady hand. With these kinds of cameras, it’s easy to have a slight shake in your hand which can make a blurry shot at such a high zoom.

Still, it’s an awesome level.
