After a couple of months, the batteries wouldn't last more than a minute or two before being drained. Called Pentax and they admitted that they had a lot of calls about the same problem. Shipped it to them and they fixed it for free (still under manufacturer's warranty.) Then a couple of months later the LCD display on the back (unfortunately, no viewfinder on this camera) stopped working. That is, is just showed a white screen. This time Pentax wouldn't cover it, even though it was still under warranty. I bought a new display off ebay for something like $29.00, but it didn't last more than three weeks before it too went the same route. Maybe I've just been unlucky, but if you're going to buy one of these cameras, I strongly suggest you buy and extended warranty. Wish I had.
