Some Links - Blogroll Edition

Some Links - Blogroll Edition

I thought I’d take a little time to highlight some of the links I’ve added to my Blogroll.

First off, I use the Random Blogroll Plugin from Goldfries that loads in a random set of links on each page load. This allows me to maintain a larger list of links than the usual 5 or 10 links and play a little ‘page rank’ roulette with them.

While I have a few links in my blogroll already to Griz’s ugly Blogger blog I recently added a link to his brand spankin’ new Make Money Online WordPress blog. It’s not everybody who can start a new “Make Money Online” blog and get 100’s of comments right off the bat.

Another recent addition is Justin from SEO Zombie. Justin has some good articles on SEO and making mods to WordPress.

JR’s Internet Marketing Strategies is a relatively new blog but he’s already got some good info posted there. His list article of List of 195 Keyword Suggestions - Now Go Find Your Niche! was one that caught my eye. Now if we can just dissuade him from promoting paid reviews and from advertising Yaro’s blogging-like-it-was-an-MLM method.

Another Justin and Zombie is Blogging Zombie. Yes, it’s easy to get them confused. Anyway, this Justin has a nice article on Buying and Selling Expired Domains that’s worth reading if you’re getting into buying expired domains.

Splork at Lost Ball in High Weeds always has something interesting to say and to take a swipe at those he thinks promote questionable products. This week he goes after Badass Brute Force SEO Software. Previously he took a whack at John Reese’s superhyped by the A-Listers Traffic Secrets 2.0.

And, lastly Golden Isles Real Estate. Why a real estate site? Well, that’s my Mom’s site. She sells real estate by the seashore.

BTW, if you want a laugh, you might want to check out where some of the ‘big names’ in blogging on my blogroll are actually linked to. If you’re wondering how to get your site into my blogroll the easiest way is to be the Top Commentator for the month. The other way is to have a great series of blog articles that impress me.

Thanks so much for the plug frank. =)

Yeah, Griz’s blog gets an insane amount of comments.

I was curious what you used for the link rotation. I wonder how that plays in terms of passing PR since the links turn on and off.

Hi Justin,

The Random Blogroll has some interesting side effects but I haven’t been able to nail it down entirely as to what it does so far as Google is concerned. It seems to give stronger link juice to some sites more than others, why, I don’t know.

Yes, I had a good laugh when I saw Caroline Middlebrook linking to Blogger Unleashed, her nemesis! You have such a great sense of humor, Frank. I am a great fan of Lost Ball in High Weeds.
