Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse Review
When I wanted to get some opinions on the Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse with 1GB USB Drive I went straight to the source, my sales manager Rob. Rob travels a lot and does dozens of sales presentations a month and he’s used a number of presentation devices, including the Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse. Let’s find out about the device and what Rob had to say about it.

OK, the basics of the Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse with 1GB USB Drive are that it’s a mouse that uses gyroscopic motion sensors to allow you to have accurate navigation by waving your hand about, almost like a Wii controller. It uses 2.4 GHz RF band, giving the cordless air mouse about 100 foot range, perfect for large presentations, while still providing a good level of precision control. This particular Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse comes with a 1GB USB drive with presentation software pre-installed so that you can carry all you need with you in your pocket most of the time. Well, that’s the basics of the Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse, let’s hear what Rob thought about it.
Rob told me:
“I was impressed by the Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse. You know me, I’m not the most technical person around but I was able to get this presenter mouse up and running easily on my laptop. I thought it was easy to control, even in a presentation I did in a large meeting room at a convention. It can seem a little sensitive at first, as compared to other presenters I’ve used but it’s great once you get the hang of it. If you have a Wii it will be easy for you. The one thing I wish that the Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse had was a scroll wheel. I haven’t used the 1G USB Drive since I always have my laptop with me but if someone wanted to travel very light and knew they had a reliable computer at their destination it would be useful.”
Well, Rob seemed to like the Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse with 1GB USB Drive. Now if I can just prevent him from downloading stuff he shouldn’t while he’s out of town.

It makes me giddy just thinking of the gyrations you could put the Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse through! In fact its a really cool idea for those who like to use an external mouse - I think give the Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse a whirl is a good price anyway especially with the USB on board!

Hi Lissie,
Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse is supposed to be really good for presentations.
The Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse with 1GB USB Drive sounds like a great product for road warriors who need to do presentations in unfamiliar settings.
Do you know if works with Macintosh computers too?
Hi Refurb,
Yes, the Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse is both PC and Mac compatible. It will even work with Vista from what I understand.
I suppose you could use it with Linux too if your were the typical Linux user who could write a driver for it in an afternoon.
An afternoon? An afternoon? Us Linux users could pound out a driver for a Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse in 45 minutes with a break in the middle for Skittles and a can of Red Bull!

Sorry, sorry … I forgot that Linux users can leap tall buildings with a single bound.
I’ll slink back under my Mac now before you big bully Linux guys start pushing me around.
I just bought a Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse with 1GB USB Drive for a trip I have to make out of town next week. I’ll be presenting to a group of my peers as we start developing the specs for a new corporate website. I’ve been practicing with the Gyration GyroTransport Air Mouse for a while now and am very very impressed. I’m looking forward to using it live next week.
