Hi Fergus,

I recommend the Sennhieser CX series (not the MX series I recently reviewed) or the Maximo iM 490 iMetal which I also reviewed.

I usually go with full sized headphones if I can because the isolation and sound quality are so much better but you can't always do that unless you don't mind looking really dorky.

Judging by your review, the Sonic Impact HF1 High Fidelity Earphones really aren't a very good buy. I "inherited" my daughter's discarded iPod now that she has upgraded to a better model (her weeks of babysitting are beginning to pay off) and I'm having a great time with it.

The only problem is that the earphones are horrible, and I'm determined to find a better pair with good sound. But, however, I want a pair that don't make me look as if I'm wearing a Danish pastry on each ear. Any suggestions?

Those prices on eBay are sick. I bought mine for a lot more.
