Hi Anime,

There is no reason for a hybrid or fuel cell vehicle to be small. The only reason they're small is because that aspect feeds into the interminable smugness that one gets from owning a hybrid.

Hi Steve,

I had planned on keeping my 1995 Mercury Villager for at least another year. It was paid off long ago and relatively cheap to operate. Unfortunately, a careless driver had other plans for it.

Even great trucks like the 2008 Toyota Tundra SR5 4×2 are going the way of the dodo in my opinion.

With gas prices as high as they are currently (and in the USA they're still only half what they are across much of the developed world) then the future lies in smaller and much more fuel efficient vehicles.

hi Frank, nice review on the Tundra. I agree with you. Based on the current price of gas, and the Tundra being a big pickup truck (pickup truck are horrible on aerodynamics) with a V8, I could see it being very expensive to own. We rented a Jeep Cherokee last week no vacation. We reserved a Dodge Charger (it looked "cool") but they didn't have one and gave us the Cherokee for the same price. The size was great, and it was amazingly quiet on the road, but it DRANK the gas. No problem on vacation but it would hurt day-to-day. The best money-saving advice on a new car I think is to keep your old car another year, and another year, and another year. It helps to rent a new car every year or two to "get it out of your system", but you'll save the most money in the long term keeping that "old" car. Of course if everyone did that it would hurt the economy, meaning less people would exhibit at trade shows and thus buy trade show booths, which would be a very bad thing, so ignore what I just wrote above! :) Steve, the guy with the trade show booths and an old car

I allways liked the 4x4 thing. I live near a couple of great places where we can "play" with a 4x4. Unfortunally i don't have one, but a friend of mine have, and when he comes to visit me, well...it's a "party" :)

Hi Dinheiro,

I used to own a 4x4 SUV. I think I only used the AWD once.

It really seems a good vehicle, but i allways prefer the 4x4 for this kind of truck.
