Hi Arielle,

I agree, it's best to look elsewhere unless you were to get a very good deal on one. For big events like the wedding you mentioned you should go with a higher quality digital camera or go back to tried and true film cameras.

omg this is the dumbest camera ever! it's slow, breaks easily, and makes no-flash pictures look SO blurry! spend your money on something better. i had a once in a lifetime wedding to go to and when i turned this camera on after dropping it ONCE from about 4 inches, the screen went white and it's broken now.

Hi Frank,
I appreciate that you allow anchor text links, and am taking advantage of that! :) I was just wondering if Mr Digital Camera was being a bit disingenuous. Would a person running a website selling digital cameras REALLY not know anything about them, and if that was true, would anyone want to buy from from someone claiming to not know anything about what they are selling? I wasn't suggesting not allowing the comment, I just thought it would be funny to tease him about his comment. Of course the problem with humor is that it is often misunderstood.
BTW, I appreciate your follow-up advice on the Polaroid T730 Compact 7MP Digital Camera and will keep it in mind if I ever think about buying a Polaroid T730 Compact 7MP Digital Camera , though based on your review of said Polaroid T730 Compact 7MP Digital Camera, I don't think I would buy the Polaroid T730 Compact 7MP Digital Camera. :) ~ Steve

Hi again Trade Show,

I do allow anchored links in the comments as long as they point to a decent site, even it's an ecommerce site.

And yes, I think you could use a Polaroid T730 Compact 7MP Digital Camera to take pictures of a trade show booth. Having a cheap digital camera, like the Polaroid T730 Compact 7MP Digital Camera, to take on business outings where it might get lost or stolen would be a good idea. That is, provided that it was more reliable than the Polaroid T730 Compact 7MP Digital Camera. ;)

Frank, I agree. My thought is that eventually we'll upgrade our camera and our daughter can get a perfectly good "hand me down" camera (won't be pink thought). That's how it worked when I grew up.
I just noticed a comment above by "Digital Camera" and can't believe you passed up a change to rib him. He wrote:
"I’m a klutzy idiot with electronics and new to digital cameras. Would this be a digital camera that is idiot proof or should I look for a digital camera that has fewer adjustments?"
He's trying to build links that say "digital camera" and point to his website, and then says he's a klutzy idiot that doesn't know anything about digital cameras? I'd love to see him change the title of his website to "I'm a klutz and don't know anything about digital cameras but check it out anyway"...
Well, maybe I'm just mean :)
Anyway, I do know about trade show booths and if anyone is looking for one, they can check out my site. Unfortunately, trade show booths has nothing to do about this post, but I suppose you could use a digital camera to take a picture to put on your trade show booth, right?
Anyway, thanks for accepting my comment! :) ~ Steve

Hi Trade Show Booths,

I do try to give a good, honest, review of the products I mention and offer alternatives. It's always important to understand how a product, in spite of some warts or limitations, might fit into someone's plans or budget.

I think the Polaroid T730 Compact 7MP Digital Camera is overpriced given what it is. If you were able to buy one under about $40 it wouldn't be a bad deal, especially for a kid's camera. You can snag deals like this on eBay sometimes with a little luck. But with the average retail price of the Polaroid T730 Compact 7MP Digital Camera hovering at about $100, it's a no-go for sure.

Hi Frank, This is my first time visiting after seeing your comment over at RT's blog. You have instant credibility in my eyes because you wrote a negative review. I assumed it would be "this is a great camera and click here to buy it and make me some money". It was refreshingly not the case.
I think I looked at this Polaroid camera on ebay and my wife wanted to get it as a present for our daughter because it was PINK (ah, the power of color). We didn't get it, and based on your review, I'm glad we didn't.
We have a two year old Casio Exilim camera. It has a 2-1/2" lcd screen on the back and a rechargable battery that seems to last "almost" forever. Casio rocks (but they're a bit spendy). I'll probably stick with what I know if I ever get another.

Hi Lissie,

The Polaroid T730 Compact 7MP Digital Camera is a little to pricey and unreliable for a casual, carry-around, digital camera. That is unless you got a great deal on one on eBay or somewhere like that. I think it would be better to buy a cheaper, non-brand name, digital camera to carry around in a purse or knapsack.

Its a shame when name like Polaroid gets sold out like this Polaroid I thought the T730 Compact 7MP Digital Camera might be a nice cheap little 2nd digital camera: for when I can't use our current larger digital camera. Maybe Ill give the Polaroid T730 Compact 7MP Digital Camera the miss for the moment

Hi 'Digital Camera',

As we say in computer programming, you can't make anything idiot proof because idiots are so ingenious. :)

I have yet to find a digital camera that is as simple to use as my old Minolta SLR. There are probably some out there but I seriously doubt that the Polaroid T730 Compact 7MP Digital Camera is one. I suspect that it was designed by engineers who barely graduated college so you can infer the design quality from there.

Canon's are OK but could be more straight forward. The problem is what's called the 'feature shootout' or 'creeping feature-itis' that often comes with such product. Few want to keep it simple because they'll look bad in a features checklist. From what I've read about the Polaroid T730 Compact 7MP Digital Camera this is probably the cause of its high failure rate.
