Samsung SBH500 Bluetooth Stereo Headset Review
The Samsung SBH500 Bluetooth Stereo Headset is a headset that I am currently considering so I decided to do a brief review of it to see if it fits my needs and perhaps yours as well. The first thing I looked at was price. Here are some of the prices I found on this wireless headphone that connects a Bluetooth audio sources and, in theory at least, allows you to enjoy high fidelity audio…
The features seem good since you can use it as a handsfree unit for your music player capable phone. I have heard that the quality and features for the Samsung SBH500 Bluetooth Stereo Headset are pretty good for the market, especially considering the price. The accessory package seems OK, nothing special, just the usual stuff.
Comfort seems to be an issue with the Samsung SBH500 Bluetooth Stereo Headset. Many people have reported that the unit is rather uncomfortable to wear for extended periods. I don’t like to wear these in-ear gadgets for lengthy periods myself so I would like to find one that did offer superior comfort. I think one can get used to wearing a particular headphone over time though. Any of them will be uncomfortable at first, right?
Sound quality for music has been reported to be in the just OK range. I think this too is to be expected. You can’t really expect to get very high quality from compressed music that’s being even more compressed into a stream of data and played through a tiny speaker. It is what it is, don’t you think? Overall, I’ve found that mixed function devices are inferior to single purpose devices. But, if you want to combine functions for convenience then the Samsung SBH500 Bluetooth Stereo Headset might be just the ticket.

Mixed function devices are inferior to single purpose devices. Exactly my point with so many devices, especially GPS these days. Some people will pay a huge price tag to get a combination auto/hand held GPS unit with topo maps. They could get higher quality at a lower total price by buying two units, one auto gps and one hand-held unit with topo maps.
You have talked me out of another product, Frank. I appreciate your candor.
