This problem of fake goods seems to be an issue in almost every niche. Whether you’re talking about used Ping golf clubs, fountain pens, bags, watches or indeed cellphones, there always seems to be somebody willing to try and make a dollar by knocking off an original product.

I know that eBay does a pretty good job of policing this issue when they hear about it, but I suspect in many cases, the buyer has no idea that they bought a fake item.
