2 Holes-In-One in the Same Round of Golf
Golfer Ted Kemp of Muscatine Iowa did something on Monday that few amateur golfers ever do, he got a hole-in-one. But, not only that, he also got a second hole in one for an amazing round of golf. Golf Digest says that the odds of a golfer getting two holes-in-one during the same round of golf to be about 67 million to one.
Kemp achieved this feat on two par 3 holes at the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course. He described his round of golf as ‘unreal’. Yes, I would agree with that, what about you?
According to reports, Ted used his pitching wedge on his tee shot on the third hole. The distance on this hole is about 130 yards. Then, on the par 3 8th hole, he pulled out his 8 iron and sunk a shot from 182 yards out, much to his own and his companions’ amazement. He finished the round with a 78.
The Muscatine golf course is an 18 hole, par 72, course with a total yardage of 6,471 from the longest tees. It has a slope rating of 116 and a course rating of 69.7. It’s been open since 1967.
Ted Kemp has said that his phone has been ringing constantly since his feat. He calls his unexpected hole-in-one golfing performance more luck than skill.
