I read several of your reviews. You give some very good blogging tips even though I really don’t understand them that well but maybe they will help me out a lot with my new blog about the gourmet lifestyle. I would ask you for a review but I still have a long ways to go before I do that.

OK Im trying out the tag cloud widget provided by technorati. It looks nice but it doesnt seem to be working properly. Let me see how things go.

What is your opinion on showing the number of viewers? Should I show it or not?

Hi Y.S.,

Yes, it’s always fun to experiment with various widgets and the like. Which, if any, to use depends on what you want to do with your blog.

On the widgets you mentioned, Tag Cloud would be the best one I think. The others, not so much.

On monetization, you would probably want to look for medical treatment and health related affiliate offers without going into the ‘bad neighborhood’ of pharma type ads.

Wow! Thanks a lot. That is much more than I expected.

Here is what I have done after reading your thorough review:

-I dropped the 2008 best schools list
-I switched to the collapsible archive list
-I edited the About page (BTW, as you said, I do have reasons to stay anonymous)

Oh, and those things you called useless, they ARE I just have them for fun and experimenting!

In terms of monetization, I know I don’t have enough traffic at the moment, but later on, what do you think will be good to try out?

Do you recommend the Recent Poster, Recent Readers, Tag Cloud, etc. Do you know any others that I should try out?
