Hi Saedel,

If you're really looking for a blog dedicated to making money for you, you need to be reading Vic's blog, Blogger Unleashed, to find out how to make money blogging about ants rather than blogging about blogging or making money.

From what I've found out from my own experimentation and from observing others, the main ways to make more than "nice evening out" money in a month are to have a massively popular site with thousands of visitors a day or to have a lot of smaller sites built around the edges of popular, well paying, keywords.

Frank, I have a PR3, and since my site is now more than 3 months old, most Review Companies (PPP, PayU2Blog, Blogsvertise) already approved my blog. I want to start monetizing but your list of disadvantages was right on.

I only have less than 30 feedburner readers as of now (some of my readers are family members and non-blogging friends), I hope I won't turn them off when I start doing paid reviews, which I plan to do at least 2x a month.

I'm seriously considering starting another blog dedicated solely for monetizing, do you think it's a good idea?

Very interesting and insightful posts.

This can be of help to bloggers who are just starting out and those who have been long into blogging but were not able to monetize their blogs. However, there's some repercussions to that. Your blog traffic and page rank can be at risk.

Thanks for stopping by "Common Sense"

Reviews are in a state of flux due to the way Google is enforcing paid links but it isn't as bad as the link selling industry. I expect things to settle down in the next 6 months or so as they figure out how to value blogs without depending on PR. I'd also expect the payouts to be lower as well.

Great summary. Thanks for the information. I've pondered doing some reviews on a future blogging project I am working on, and you've given me some options to look at.
