Now that the October 200 Post Blitz is over, I’m going to change direction a little bit in November.
First, I’m going to cut back the pace slightly, going for an average of 3-5 posts a day rather than 8-10 like I was doing. This will allow me to keep the quality up as well as allowing me time to work on my software development blog. My post goal for November is to have 100 more posts for a total of 300 posts by December 1, 2007. I may try another posting blitz in the future though. It was fun but tough to do.
Next, I’m going to try a few different things with monetization to see if I can earn at least $100 from this blog by December 1. I made $10.18 in October so I only have $89.82 to go.
I also want to get my RSS feed subscribers up. I was going to set this goal at 50 but when I checked this evening I already had 47! So, I upped this number to 100.
As you may notice, I’ll be rotating ads in and out to test what works and what doesn’t.
You can sign up for a ScratchBack TopSpot here on OpTempo for $1. That’s pretty cheap advertising and I have 20 slots available so you won’t get bumped off soon.
My new slogan for OpTempo is:
- A Fast Paced Internet Variety Show
I kind of see OpTempo like a morning news variety show where news, commentary, entertainment and other elements mix.
