Bigfoot or Mangy Bear?

Well, that is strange looking, isn’t it? However, without seeing the face it’s hard to tell if it’s a black bear or not.
Bears are usually thought of as being of stocky build but they can be thin too. For example, look at this bear.

Give him a bad skin condition and he wouldn’t look much different from the first photo. Bears have been hard hit by drought conditions in the Eastern US and the summer heat so health and hunger problems would be common.
Bears can give you a "WTF is that!" moment if you encounter them in brush. I’ve seen a few in the Smokey Mountains during hikes and it can be a little bit frightening until you realize that they’re probably scared too. Only rarely will they be predatory toward adult humans though.
What do you think? Mangy Bear or Bigfoot?
