Google Phone = $$$?
According to the Wall Street Journal Google is actively working on releasing the rumored “GPhone” sometime in mid-2008. The phone will attempt to integrate maps, videos, and email into the phone, drawing from Google’s current product mix. Additionally, they will open the phone to independent software developers, allowing them to develop new features for the phone. This is in contrast to Apple’s tightly held iPhone strategy.
Spam-o-Phone?
Any bets on how long it will take black hats to exploit the GPhone? Not long would be my guess unless Google develops adequate security for them.
Will you be able to buy Adwords ads to spam, er, send to GPhone users? It appears that you will be able to do this. This might give a much needed boost to the ringtone and other mobile content providers.
Adsense for Mobile
You may have noticed recently that Google Adsense added advertising options for mobile devices. I haven’t really checked into this much since I don’t design sites for mobile browsing. I might now. What about you?
Are MOBI Domains a Coming Wave?
They could be if the GPhone takes off. If you’re into domaining snagging a few choice ones might not be a bad idea. I haven’t really considered them before but I might now. What are your thoughts on this?
