Kid Rock Waffle House Fight
You Might Be A Redneck If……you get in a fight outside a Waffle House at 5 AM. That’s what Kid Rock did in the wee hours Sunday morning here in the Atlanta area. He’s now facing Battery Charges after being Arrested

UPDATE 7/24/2008
Kid Rock pleaded no contest to one count of battery in DeKalb County State Court today, hoping to put the sorry mess behind him. He got 2 months of probation and a $1000 fine plus court costs of $300 along with 6 hours of anger management counseling and 80 hours of community service, which will be served near his home, not in the Atlanta area. Other counts against him stemming from the incident were dropped.
I have to admit, I’ve probably been to that same Waffle House in the wee hours of the morning. No fights for me though although I’ve seen a couple. There’s nothing like the smell of bacon grease to bring out the aggressive nature of some people.
For those of you who haven’t been down South, you should visit a Waffle House while you’re here. The food, while very high fat, isn’t bad if your stomach can tolerate it. In the Atlanta, GA area they’re ubiquitous, you can’t miss them.

We have a new waffle house in neighborhood, which is just terrific. We were annoyed at first, because it replaced a very good Italian restaurant that we really liked.
But this new place is also very very good, with waffles, crepes and a very good cup of coffee. One nice touch — the scoop of whipped cream is served on the side, placed on top of a couple of slices of orange. The orange flavor very subtly permeates the cream, and it is delicious.
