BlogRush Sucks - Round 3

It seems that BlogRush’s ‘quality police’ have been out in force in recent days, paying their 2 second respects to a wide array of sites before hitting the “REJECT” button. Even up and coming A-List Mooney blogger John Cow got the BlogRush BumsRush.
Here are some more posts about it on other blogs:

If you got banned or just have a post on your blog talking about how much “BlogRush Sucks” , leave me a comment with a link to your site and a post I’ll include it in the list above. Hop on the “BlogRush Sucks” bandwagon!

Thanks for the link. And to think I don’t even have a reason to not like them (they approved my blog) aside from Blog Rush was nothing more than a big rush of hot air.
Thanks for stopping by
Oddly enough, they approved my other blog even though the widget was way down at the bottom and I pulled it from there after they rejected this blog.
The thing that annoys me is that their evaluation was so quick and so subjective/brain dead. They ended up rejecting good blogs, like John Cow, and keeping marketing landing pages, like the tampon one, in the program.
Thanks for the link.
It seems BlogRush didn’t pick out qualified reviewers considering they (supposedly) got a ton of applications for the $12/hour job. Perhaps they just wanted it to look like they implemented a quality, manual review process when in reality they went with a quick and cheap automated bot review…
Thanks for stopping by. I like your site, particularly the faux landing page intro.
The more I think about it, I agree, it had to be mostly bot driven. There just isn’t any way they could have staffed up and trained a decent enough and large enough review team in a week or so. At best they could have gotten a few warm bodies randomly clicking[Accept]|[Reject] buttons.
thanks for the link and stopping by.
I have nothing against blogrush actually but they just do not serve my needs. And thus it did not matter much to me that they made me “inactive”
Thanks for stopping by Jerry,
The annoying thing about BlogRush is that it was a good idea, sending targeted traffic to participating blogs, that was executed very poorly. It is turning out that their review process was extremely flawed. It has insulted many a good blogger by telling them they didn’t meet quality standards while they keep tampon ad purveyors and the like in the system. They may not have intended it as an insult but an insult it was none the less.
Hopefully Mr. Reese, being a smart guy, will deal with the serious mistake quickly and avoid the same type of mistakes in future.
Yep, I am the first one listed in this post and I can say that BlogRush is one big BS, it doesn’t brong ANY traffic and just wastes space in the sidebar…
I don’t recommend anyone use it, StumbleUpon is a lot more better and quality…
Hi MR-Gee,
There are so many more effective ways to get traffic to your blog than BlogRush. I’ve even found that I get more traffic from saying that they suck than I got from the widget during the few weeks I had it installed.
It is apparently worthwhile if you game it though. I’ve seen some comments in the blackhat community about using redirects with it so that traffic from the widget itself gets sent to an affiliate offer landing page while normal traffic goes to a nondescript, unmonetized, “quality” blog. Nothing like getting free advertising from unsuspecting blogs.
