Pet Pics: Maine Coon Cat and Norfolk Terrier
I couldn’t resist posting a couple of photos of two of our pets, one current and one former. I hope you don’t mind a self-indulgent post. Here’s the first one:

We got Ollie and Wylie from the same rescue organization at about the same time. Ollie, the Maine Coon Cat, was just a kitten in this picture while Wylie, the Norfolk Terrier, was about 2 years old. In spite of the fighting you see in the picture these two guys liked each other and played regularly.
Sadly, we had to part ways with Wylie due to our financial situation at the time and his need for expensive health care due to some injuries he had suffered from an abusive former owner. He now lives with a lady who works for our vet and is doing quite well from what I’ve heard.
Here’s Ollie today.

As you can see, he’s a big boy now. He weighs about 20-21 pounds and is one big cat. The picture makes him look a little fatter than he actually is. He still thinks he’s a lap cat though.
While we’re on the subject, if you’re looking for a cat or dog always check your local rescue organizations before buying from a pet store. You can often find great pets there, sometimes even ones with pedigrees.
Do you have any pets you’re proud of and who’s company you enjoy? If so, post a link to their picture and post a comment about them.

thats a cute picture i always think its funny when cats and dogs play fight
That’s adorable. We have a Maine Coon that we rescued as a baby and our golden-chow mix is his best friend. They play all the time and he is always with that dog. If only he loved us as much as that dog!
