Brutal Karaoke Machine Attack
Or, don’t bring a vacuum hose to a karaoke machine fight. Here’s the story:
MSNBC: Victim allegedly attacked with karaoke machine
UNIONDALE, N.Y. - A crazed attacker broke into a Long Island man’s home, beat him with a karaoke machine and bit off his ear, police said.
Doctors were unable to reattach the ear of the victim, but his injuries were not considered life threatening, said Nassau County police Officer Mary Verna. The 64-year-old Uniondale resident attempted to defend himself with a vacuum cleaner hose.
And, of course, he plead not guilty.
Sure, the story is kind of weird funny but, have you considered what you would do in a situation like that? Do you have a plan to handle emergency situations in your home ranging from fires to crazy situations like this? Often having a clear idea in your head about what to do in a “worse case scenario” will save you from serious injury or even death.
Of course, the best plan of action against a break-in is “fighting without fighting” as Bruce Lee put it. Make sure that your home isn’t an inviting target to intruders. Trim away shrubs and other material that could conceal someone. Make sure all doors and windows are kept locked. Install a security system and lighting. Simple steps, I know, but it’s surprising how many people don’t do this.
What’s your plan of action?
