What’s With The Monkey?
Someone asked what my site logo, the monkey in a suit typing at a computer, meant. Well, it means a couple of things.
First, it makes me think of Jonathan Coulton’s Code Monkey song and the G4 TV Code Monkeys TV show. Since I enjoy the song and the TV show and since I’m a programmer (aka code monkey) myself it just seems to fit.
Second, I made this graphic into this “motivational’ poster a few years ago. While it’s only 800×600 it should stretch out well as a wallpaper if you need a little motivation at work one day.
This picture was in response to a manager who actually said that to a fellow employee, a network admin. The guy took it in stride saying, “Then hire one” and then he left the building. The look on the manager’s face was priceless.
Well, that’s the story of the monkey logo. Do you think it’s a good one for this site or should I pick something else, say a kitchen sink?
